Hello

Just a brief overview of what the Sims is in its basic form and what it is to the modding community. As you may or may not be aware Jack Thompson (lawyer cretin) claimed that The Sims is worse then "Hot Coffee" (GTA San Andreas). Well he is and isn't right.

The Sims 2 is a "life simulator." In the game, players steer their digital beings around their cyberlives. Actions include everything from the spectacular (getting married, having children, receiving promotions at work) to the mundane (cooking microwaved meals, going to the bathroom, mopping the floor). Such activities, as in real life, sometimes require nudity. EA circumvents inappropriateness by "blurring" out the nether regions, almost to a comical sense.

Knowing that the game is popular among all ages, EA has even taken steps to ensure that Sims fans aren't exposed to indecent depictions. In the recent expansion pack, The Sims 2 University, gamers can send their teenage sims off to college. However, instead of packing the expansion with "keggers" and "reefer," EA chose to use juice and bubble blowers.

It's what's under the blur that Thompson's after. And what happens when the blur is lifted? A simple mannequin-esque smooth body, according to EA. Ea Games has a tame game in the store.
It's what modders can add after they purchase the game that can enforce the fact that The Sims 2 is dirtiest mainstream game in the world and for good reason. Realistic skins (with blur removed), sexy clothing for all ages, and adult sex hacks (mods for "Woohoo" and more) are all around the net and more. Scour through this site and see what we bring you.

I would recommend getting The Sims and optionally only Nightlife and University bonus packs. The later editions add more complexity and more problems with additional content and therefore may not be worth it. The Sims Deluxe (with the original game has Nightlife as well and should be still in stores)
